Position Description

Summary

Briercrest Seminary invites applications for a permanent full position of Assistant Professor of Couple and Family Therapy/Internship Coordinator for the Counselling Department. This will be a an on-campus or remote position commencing August 1, 2024 (on-campus preferred).

The successful candidate will be a proficient therapist and educator, and a self-starter with strong organizational, administrative, and networking abilities. Candidates must possess a PhD in a counselling related field and have RMFT membership with the Canadian Association of Couple and Family Therapy (CACFT). Preference will be given to applicants with supervisor training and status. Applicants must demonstrate a high level of professionalism and ethical behaviour.

Primary responsibilities of this role will include teaching assigned courses and coordinating internships including site and supervisor approval, supporting interns, administrative tasks, marking assignments, providing clinical supervision and seminars to interns, and other department responsibilities.
