Position Description

The Position

Reporting to the Director of Donor Relations, the Stewardship & Impact Specialist provides service and care for distinct stakeholder groups at the University by managing a portfolio of relationships with donors, sponsors and churches. The aim of the Stewardship & Impact Specialist is to deepen stakeholder relationships in an effort to cultivate and uplift giving with potential to identify new relationships to move to the major gifts team. Redeemer University is committed to nurturing skills and experience with appropriate training and professional development on a continual basis.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain strategies for various groups of stakeholders (donors, sponsors) with appropriate touchpoints that include cultivation, possible solicitation and stewardship.
  • Seek ways to further engage existing donors to inspire deeper levels of engagement resulting in the potential movement of donors to major gift fundraisers.
  • Manage stewardship efforts for the Student Awards program by coordinating reminders and impact reports for donors who have established both annual and endowed scholarships and bursaries.
  • Manage stewardship relations with Christian Reformed Churches (CRC) that support Redeemer in collaboration with Strategic Relations.
  • Document activity in CRM software to ensure data integrity.

Preferred Skills and Attributes

  • High level communication skills and ability to engage a variety of stakeholders with success.
  • Experience in a customer service role. A nonprofit setting would be considered an asset.
  • Commitment to representing Redeemer with enthusiasm, warmth, and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and Google Suite skills required; familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems an asset.

Education, Training & Certifications

  • Undergraduate degree or comparable combination of education and work experience.

  • Understanding of, and commitment to Redeemer University (mission, values, and Reformed Christian identity)
