About Gateway

We are a vibrant, multi-cultural community of people from all different walks of life from Arnprior, Ontario and the surrounding areas.

Gateway is a diverse group of people meeting in the old Alexander Reed Public School located in the heart of Arnprior on Mary Street with plans to build a new community-based church building on 15 acres of land at the edge of town on Keatley Street.

Our mission is simple: To connect with God and with others.

That's why we are a Presence Driven church, and we want to do that together, especially as we gather during the week in our Life Groups.

We love to gather on Sunday mornings, but we know Life is better together. So that is why we are a church IN life groups that gather throughout the week all over the Ottawa Valley.

Job Description

The worship director is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of music in church gatherings which includes:

• selecting and planning music,
• coordinating the worship team, and
• ensuring a spiritually engaging experience for the congregation.

This is currently a part-time position.

• 12hrs/week

Worship Ministry

• Lead worship for Sunday services (9 AM & 11 AM)
• Teach, train, and equip team members and next generation musicians
• Facilitate worship in various contexts as appropriate (small groups, mid-sized gatherings, etc.)

Gifts Required

• Leadership

Skills Required

• Musicianship
• Team building
• Ability to identify musicians, technical people, and people with gifts in the arts and to motivate them to engage their gifts and call
• Conflict resolution
