Position Description

This is a 12 week, 35 hours/week, paid position lasting from May 26th through August 19th, 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, organization and management of all aspects of our 4 week summer Day Camp Program.

What You'll Do:

You’ll be planning and coordinating a four-week Day Camp program to run in July and August.  You’ll serve as Day Camp Senior Director with a focus on preparing and implementing a Day Camp program including all the aspects of providing a safe and excellent children’s camp experience for our Kinder Campers (4-6 years) and our Kids Campers (7-12 years). You’ll care for the needs of the kids and their parents, as well as organizing the involvement of youth and adults volunteers throughout the program. You’ll also:

  • Manage a team of 8 counsellors who will be the primary care givers to the children: leading, team building, scheduling, ensuring quality care and programing, training, and supporting. This includes creating and implementing an evaluation and feedback process for the team.
  • Create and lead a well-organized program that will include children with diverse backgrounds from the community and church family.
  • Coordinate and duties and responsibilities with a Camp LiT Director.
  • Train a group of paid staff and youth volunteers (LiTs) to provide proper care and programming for the Campers (working cooperatively with our Camp LiT Director of course).
  • Coordinate the work of adult volunteers who have been recruited to help support the camp program as well as liaise with the various coordinators of those teams.
  • Other stuff we can think up at the time.

What You'll Bring:

  • Your faith. We’re looking for someone who is a follower of Jesus whose life reflects the teaching, values and love of Jesus for all people.
  • Your maturity. You need to be between the ages of 18-30 and have a love for kids and youth.
  • Your experience. This is a senior leadership role so we really need someone who can make it happen.
  • Your skills. You need to be administrative and well organized as well as able to multi-task (seriously!)
  • Your record. You need to give us a suitable police background check and references.
  • Your commitment. We need you to be available to work full-time for the entire contract period.
  • Your sense of humour. (We’re into fun around here! J)
