Appointment Type: Full-Time, Three-Year Renewable Term
Compensation: Annual based on the Diocese of Toronto Remuneration schedule
Number of Positions:  1
Reports to:  The Provost and Vice-Chancellor

Position Summary:

The Chaplaincy at Trinity College offers a place of connection, belonging, friendship and respect within a diverse and vibrant community that includes undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, administration and staff.   The Chaplain cultivates belonging by offering spiritual and pastoral care to all constituent groups, providing oversight of the Chapel and the services offered there, and working in collaboration with an internal advisory committee.    

The successful candidate will be ordained in the Anglican Church of Canada (or another province of the Anglican Communion) and be currently in good standing.  Employed by Trinity College, the Humphrys Chaplain is licensed by the Anglican Bishop of Toronto.

This position is endowed and reports to the Provost, while working alongside the Dean of Students and the Dean of Divinity to participate in student support and education as appropriate.   The successful candidate may be invited to teach an academic course in an area of professional expertise in one of our Faculties.   Doctorate-level degrees are desirable, but not essential.
