About the Position: Victory Valley Farm is seeking a dedicated, mature individual for a part-time position that could evolve into a full-time role. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine faith-based service, community outreach, and horse-based programs. The role includes negotiable wages and hours, and we support our team members by providing guidance and flexibility.
About Us: Victory Valley Farm is a Christian charity located in the beautiful Muskoka area. Our mission is to bring hope, healing, and transformation to individuals, especially young people, through the love of Jesus Christ and the power of horses. In our serene farm environment, we focus on mental health, life skills development, and community connection. Every individual is welcomed with dignity and grace.
Job Location:
- 2572 Muskoka Road 10, Huntsville (Back of Beyond Equine Centre)
- Some offsite visits as needed
- Flexibility for remote work hours
Compensation:
- This is a supported/sponsored missionary role; the candidate will be responsible for raising funds through a personal support team to cover their full salary
- Victory Valley Farm will cover Mandatory Employment Related Costs (MERCs)
Qualifications:
- Experience working with youth in a camp or similar setting is a plus
- A satisfactory vulnerable sector check
- Leadership experience
- Horse experience is beneficial but not required
- Creative, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Must have a driver’s license and reliable transportation
- References: One personal and two professional references
Responsibilities:
Community Connection:
- Build new partnerships and nurture existing relationships with local organizations
- Represent Victory Valley Farm at community events
- Engage with participants and other stakeholders in various capacities
- Collaborate with ministry partners and clients
Program Delivery:
- Lead and supervise volunteers
- Oversee the delivery of pre-existing Christian programs on the farm
- Collaborate and assist with an Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) professional and farm owners on program development and horse care
- Assist in participant recruitment
Social Media & Digital Marketing:
- Enhance our online presence through digital marketing
- Experience with MailChimp, Facebook, Instagram, and websites is beneficial
- Donor Relations:
- Foster and maintain relationships with donors and supporters
- Assist in organizing fundraising events
