Reports To : English Pastor
Commitment : 25 hours per week
Start Date : June 1st, 2025

Purpose

Crosspoint Fellowship is the English congregation of Chinese Evangelical Alliance Church of Toronto (CEACT). We are a community of approx 70 people, with ⅓ youth, ⅓ young adults, and ⅓ working adults aged 30+.

The youth program consists of two fellowships. The high school youth (gr 9~12) meets every Friday from 7:30 ~ 9:30 PM. The middle school youth (gr 7~8) meets every Sunday after service from 11 AM ~ 12 PM. Currently, we have about 25 high school youth and 8 middle school youth, with another ~15 coming up in the next 3 years.

We are looking for a mature and passionate youth worker who resonates with the mission of the church. You will be responsible to make youth disciples by helping them to gather neighbors to worship God, build community, and serve the city in the Greater Toronto Area and beyond.

Core Responsibilities

40% - Friday Nights Fellowship

• Create a thriving youth community dedicated to follow Jesus
• Design and run weekly programs that balances spiritual growth, community building, and serving the city
• Recruit and train adult counselors
• Disciple youth leaders to serve inside and outside of church
• Work with English Pastor to mobilize youth for outreach and missions

30% - Sunday Morning Classes

• Teach engaging Bible lessons to ground youth in a biblical worldview
• Work with English pastor to develop a multi-year curriculum
• Recruit and train adult teachers 

20% - Pastoral Visits

• Weekly visitation (in person or online) to counsel and care for youths
• Provide spiritual direction to both youth and adults in the church

10% - Others

• Help out around the church where needed
• Occasional preaching at Sunday service

Qualifications

Mandatory

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Demonstrated ability to pioneer new initiatives, recruit and train team members
• Theological training in an evangelical seminary. A master degree is preferred.
• Align with C&MA statement of faith as well as our distinctives
• Strongly resonate with our vision, mission and DNA
• 3+ years experience working with youth or young adults as a counselor, small group leader, or pastor
• Caring leader with a down to earth personality and a passion to lead young people to Jesus 

Good To Have

• Experience in English speaking youth ministry
• Background in counseling or spiritual direction
• Fluency in Mandarin
