Position Description

Spring Outdoor Recreation Staff

Dates: May 5 - June 20 (flexible)

Pay: $400 - $500 per week

The Outdoor Recreation (OREC) Program at Camp Kadesh promotes an active and healthy lifestyle while focusing on the development of character and potential. The OREC program primarily serves schools from across Saskatchewan, with participants ranging from grade 6 to grade 12. Most of our guests are in grades 7 and 8, who visit Kadesh for their end-of-year trips. In May and June, Camp Kadesh hosts over 1,600 students and their teachers.

Come and be part of a close-knit community where we teach young people sports, camp activities, and help create memorable, positive experiences. This program serves as Camp Kadesh's outreach to public and Catholic school systems, aiming to introduce students to Camp Kadesh and, through our actions, share the love of Jesus. Many of the students who visit us end up returning as campers in the summer.

We are looking for staff who are committed to the love of Jesus, see the value of camp ministry and the outdoors, and want to help students experience God through our service. Spring OREC Crew members will be responsible for providing quality programming to the Outdoor Recreation and Retreat program, ensuring an excellent experience for all guests. Our team will run all activities, wide games, and campfires.

In addition to programming, staff will assist in food services (including washing dishes during some meals), act as Cabin Leaders for schools, and perform support roles such as housekeeping and janitorial work for facility turnover.

If you are staff from other camps with jobs in July and August, you are welcome to work with us in May and June. If you are not from Saskatchewan, please check out this page for more details about what we can offer to out-of-province staff. www.campkadesh.com/saskcampjobs
