About us
Catch the Fire Mississauga is a non-denominational young family church We are a community church to walk in God’s love and give it away to our communities until they know God’s Glory Role.
We are prayerfully seeking an assistant to our kid’s ministry director who will have two areas of ministry focus:
- Coordinate Sunday morning children’s nursery age group
- Manage Marketing and Social Media for Kids Church
Responsibilities
- Coordinate Sunday morning children’s ministry and nursery
- Assist with the whole children’s ministry program.
- Gather and supply materials for Sunday school.
- Participate in the Sunday School teaching rotation.
- Assist once-a-month Saturday kids gathering
- Invest in our children by assisting in preparation.
- Recruit a team to support the gathering.
- Fulfill administrative duties
- Manage Plan to Protect the Church Staff and Volunteers.
- Meet with the Kids Director to coordinate ministry activities.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is a committed and growing follower of Jesus.
- Has the spiritual maturity needed to give biblical direction to our Children
- Has Bible school training and/or experience teaching children about God.
- Will be able to work independently, proactively and flexibly.
- Has experience and aptitude with online platforms (such as Google Docs and Planning Center) and social media.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR MARKETING AND SOCIAL MEDIA
- Photograph subjects, such as events, landscapes, products, and models
- Identify the locations/activities which are most likely to generate the best pictures
- Research audience preferences and discover current trends on social media platforms
- Create engaging text, image and video content to sustain readers’ curiosity and create buzz around weekend events, and upcoming events.
- Study analytics and stay up-to-date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness
- Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics
- Oversee social media accounts’ layout
- Suggest new ways to attract prospective customers, like promotions and competitions
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:
- Knowledge of operating a DSLR
- Knowledge of photo and video editing
- Expertise in multiple social media platforms
- Knowledge of Canva, Capcut, Adobe Creative Suite or any photo/video editing software
- Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
- Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels
- Ability to gasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactively
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to stay motivated and the willingness to work independently
- Being structured, detail-oriented, organized, reliable, and highly responsible
- Being open to new ideas
- Excellent leadership and customer service skills Hours 30 hours a month, with a salary appropriate to experience.
