Angus, Ontario , L3W 0L3
Position Description
Crosspoint Bible Church of Angus, Ontario is seeking a passionate Lead Pastor to provide spiritual and visionary leadership that aligns with Crosspoint’s mission to see the whole Gospel transform the whole person into a fully devoted follower of Christ.
At Crosspoint we want to glorify God by being a church from everywhere to everyone; seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness both in the home and in the public square. We are a Christ-centred congregation that proclaims 1 Peter 2:9, “the excellencies of Him who called us out of darkness into His marvellous light,” pursuing Christ for the glory of Christ.
Our Lead Pastor will be responsible for preaching and teaching, providing pastoral care, and developing and implementing ministry strategies.
- Preaching and teaching - The church family at Crosspoint highly values biblically sound sermons and proficient bible teaching. We expect our Lead Pastor to have an ever-deepening and intimate relationship with the three persons of the Trinity - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- Pastoral care - Crosspoint is looking for an under-shepherd who will foster spiritual growth and discipleship within the congregation while providing passionate pastoral care that includes spiritual counselling for families and individuals.
- Ministry strategies - Our Lead Pastor will provide direction for equipping and empowering church leadership and members to serve within the church and beyond into the community of Angus; be committed to personal spiritual growth and professional development; and be able to guide congregants in their own growth and development as followers of Christ Jesus.
Crosspoint Bible Church is situated in the midst of the small town of Angus within the Township of Essa, “Where Town and Country Meet.” Angus is surrounded by rural communities but experiences the influences of the nearby city of Barrie and the adjacent Canadian Forces Base Borden.
