Position Description
Tyndale is a Christian university that prepares leaders for work in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors, ministry and the global mission of the church. Tyndale offers fully accredited programs in a wide range of disciplines at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Currently, there are over 1,600 students representing over 40 denominations and 60 ethnic backgrounds and over 13,000 alumni. Founded in 1894, Tyndale is located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
POSITION PURPOSE
The Program Officer supports the Manager of Education Programs in the operational aspects of education programs, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and procedures while managing various administrative tasks related to course offerings, student tracking, and program communication.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Operations
- Assist in the distribution and collection of mid-year and year-end surveys, and contribute to data analysis.
- Support faculty and instructors in using Moodle’s course management system.
- Prepare the course offerings list for the Registrar’s Office and assist with room bookings through EMS.
- Assist in preparing the class schedule for distribution to staff, faculty, and teacher candidates.
- Provide logistical support to instructors concerning class lists, attendance, and final grade submissions.
- Manage Google Workspace accounts for teacher candidates and maintain Shared Drives.
Program Communication
- Liaise with internal departments regarding necessary program information and event coordination.
- Conduct formal communication with teacher candidates, staff, and faculty about the official schedule of courses and events.
- Prepare weekly announcement bulletins for staff, faculty, and teacher candidates.
- Record Management and New Student Application Process
- Assist in the process from application to orientation, including receiving application packages and organizing interview panels.
- Support the onboarding process for new teacher candidates.
- Maintain student records according to existing policies and regulations.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
a) Education
- Bachelor degree in business, administration, or commerce
- Certification in basic first aid and CPR preferred
b) Experience
- 3 years of administrative experience
- Experience with student records and database management an asset
c) Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail (Outlook), and Google Workspace applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively

e) Physical and Mental Demands
- Standard office environment with a combination of in-person and remote work
- Availability to work outside regular business hours occasionally
Salary Range: $43,000 - $54,000
