Beth Shechinah Messianic Congregation (Calgary, AB) is seeking a qualified candidate for the role of the Youth and Student Ministries Leader. Beth Shechinah is a vibrant, Torah-observant community of Messianic believers and Calgary’s first Messianic Congregation. This position is responsible to minister to the Youth and Student ministry working with the Lead Rabbi and Shabbat School Coordinator to align with the overall vision for Beth Shechinah. You have an innate ability to engage with youth and young adults, discipling them to grow spiritually. You are a natural connector and are passionate about partnering with parents to integrate faith into everyday life. You also leverage your leadership skills through guiding and engaging youth ministry volunteers.

Qualifications:

  • Knows, and feels called to the Messianic Faith
  • Strong personal relationship with Yeshua (Jesus Christ) as evidenced by spiritual maturity and a close, consistent walk with Him
  • Demonstrates a heart for youth and young adults
  • Previous Experience in youth or young adult ministry is preferred
  • Has one of University/Bible College/Seminary degree or its equivalent in theological studies and/or youth ministry (recommended but not required)
  • Clearly understands and agrees with the basic doctrines of the Christian Faith and the beliefs and practices of our congregation as outlined in the Beth Shechinah constitution
  • Possess strong leadership skills with both staff and volunteers
  • Engaging speaker
  • Ability to be flexible, adapt to change and demonstrate calmness under pressure
  • Relational and able to coach and mentor leaders in an Ephesians 4:12 ministry environment
  • Understands the needs and challenges of young people
  • Supportive team player and builder who can work in a multi-staff setting, and work independently
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Job Type: Part-time
Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
Work Location: In person
