Position Description

Situated at 2385 Warden Avenue in Toronto, Ontario, Wesley Chapel is a Spirit-driven, biblically grounded and mission-minded congregation. With a growing community of over 190 members, we are a multi-ethnic and diverse church committed to caring for individuals from all walks of life and all ages.

We are committed to spiritually impacting our local community and beyond through dynamic worship, heartfelt prayer, deep biblical teaching and active mission work.

With an influx of newcomers to our community, Wesley Chapel is actively seeking meaningful ways to welcome, support and integrate those new to the faith, searching for a church home or exploring what it means to follow Jesus. To further this mission, we seek to fill a part-time Enfolding Ministry Coordinator position dedicated to fostering a warm and inclusive church family.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Building and leading a ministry team; recruiting and training volunteers.
  • Identifying and engaging with newcomers, making them feel seen and valued.
  • Fostering connections between congregants and newcomers to encourage a genuine community.
  • Acting as a liaison with the pastoral staff.
  • Addressing inquiries about ministries at Wesley Chapel.
  • Overseeing the Welcome Centre, ensuring it is an inviting and helpful resource.
  • Creating and maintaining a database to track congregants' milestones, ensuring ongoing care and connection.

  • Demonstrates a heart for ministry and a passion for service.
  • Is an effective communicator and people-oriented person (extrovert).
  • Enjoys collaborating with others and is a team builder.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Understands and values the diversity of a multi-ethnic church.
  • Is technologically competent and aware of social media trends.

KEY DETAILS:

  • Hours of work: 25 hours per month
  • Compensation: $27.50 per hour
  • Location: Flexibility to work from home and/or the church office
  • Worship Participation: Regular attendance at Wesley Chapel worship services required
  • Growth Potential: Opportunities for increased hours may arise with ministry growth.
