Weston Road Pentecostal Church’s vision is to be one church with doors open in multiple locations across the GTA, inviting people to know God, find freedom, discover their purpose, and make an eternal difference. We are a passionate and growing Pentecostal church with two locations in Toronto and Vaughan, ON.

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Kids Pastor to lead and oversee our Weston Kids Ministry.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Kids Pastor will be responsible for the leadership and development of Weston Kids Ministries (Birth to Grade 5) across our locations. This includes:

• Service Planning: Assisting in planning engaging and Spirit-led kids’ services.
• Leadership Development: Recruiting, equipping, and mobilizing Dream Team volunteers.
• Events & Outreach: Overseeing events, camps, and outreach initiatives.
• Multisite Ministry: Developing a strategy that is replicable across all Weston locations.

This role is pivotal in ensuring that Weston Kids is a thriving, Christ-centred ministry where children experience Jesus in a meaningful way.

MINISTRY PURPOSE & SUMMARY

At Weston Kids, we believe there is no junior Holy Spirit — our ministry is not a babysitting program, but an intentional effort to disciple children, nurture their faith, and equip parents to be the primary spiritual influence in their lives.

The Kids Pastor will be responsible for:

• Building a strong, Christ-centred Kids Ministry where children feel loved, valued, and empowered to become all that God has called them to be.
• Developing and implementing a discipleship strategy that aligns with Weston’s vision.
• Supporting connect groups, outreach initiatives, and leadership development within the Kids Ministry.
• Recruiting, training, and providing ongoing oversight for all volunteers (Dream Team members).
• Serving alongside the pastoral team, contributing to church-wide initiatives as assigned by the Lead Pastor.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Experience & Education

• Previous ministry experience in a Kids/Family Ministry role (preferred).
• Bible College degree (preferred but not required).
• Credentialed (or willing to pursue credentials) with the CAOG or PAOC.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong verbal & written communication skills.
• Proven leadership ability—visionary, strategic, and team-oriented.
• Ability to recruit, train, and equip volunteers.
• Confident in preaching/teaching to children and leaders.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating within a team.

POSITION DETAILS

• Part-time: 20 hours/week
