Position Description

Heritage Christian School is seeking a dynamic and passionate educator to join our close-knit team for the 2025–2026 school year. This 80% teaching contract includes:

• 60% Kindergarten Teaching
• 20% Junior Grade Teaching
• Start Date: September 1, 2025

Heritage Christian School is a K-8 interdenominational Christian school with a mission to provide quality education based on Biblical values aligned with many aspects of the Ontario Curriculum. 3. Bring experience with primary-aged children and a strong understanding of early childhood development.
4. Be knowledgeable about the science of reading, executive functions, growth mindset, and utilizing learning targets. 
5. Demonstrate organizational strength and excellent communication skills.
6. Thrive in a collaborative team environment.
7. Show initiative, creativity, and a heart for helping young learners grow academically, socially, and spiritually.

Qualifications:

• Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT)
• Experience in Kindergarten or early primary grades is strongly preferred.
• Agreement with and commitment to the mission/vision and statements of faith of Heritage Christian School.
