Position Overview

The Digital Mobilizing Coordinator will lead and manage all aspects of SIM Canada’s digital media campaigns. The role is responsible for designing, executing and optimizing digital mobilization strategies to reach potential missionaries, donors, and prayer partners through platforms utilized by SIM Canada.  The Digital Mobilizing Coordinator will oversee the development, scheduling and publishing of digital content across our website and social media platforms.  This individual will help us tell our story, engage the Canadian church and communities and advance the purpose that God has placed on SIM Canada through impactful online presence and communication. 

Job Responsibilities

Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and implement digital mobilization strategies to support mobilization, fundraising and awareness campaigns.
  • Identify target audiences and craft messaging consistent with SIM’s values and vision.
  • Collaborate with communications, donor relations, and mobilization to align digital efforts with the broader ministry goals.

Campaign Management

  • Manage end-to-end campaigns
  • Design and test advertising creatives in coordination with communications.

Social Media

  • Develop and execute content strategies for social media platforms.
  • Create, schedule and publish posts that reflect SIM Canada’s mission, vision, impact and values.
  • Monitor engagement, respond to comments and messages, and build online community interaction.
  • Stay up to date with trends in social media and digital communication within the nonprofit faith-based sector.

Website Content

  • Manage and update website content regularly.
  • Ensure that website content is current, accurate and aligns with SIM Canada’s messaging standards.
  • Collaborate with the SIM Canada administration team, to highlight stories, campaigns, events and impacts.
  • Work with IT and the Systems Manager when needed to maintain website optimization and functionality.

Optimization and Analytics

  • Analyze metrics and provide regular reports on social media, websites, and campaign performance.
  • Adjust targeting, creatives and other strategies for maximum return on investment.
  • Provide monthly reports with insights, metrics and recommendations.

Reporting

  • The Digital Mobilizing Coordinator reports to the Communications Manager.

Qualifications

  • Your belief and practice are consistent with a life that showcases the saving and transforming work of Jesus Christ.
  • Agreement with SIM Canada’s Statement of Faith and Values.
  • Variable education in the related fields and or coupled with proven related experience.
  • Appreciate and have a passion for global missions.
  • Strong understanding of cross-cultural dynamics, particularly in Not-for-profit Christian-based work.
  • Familiar with CRMs, email marketing tools, and analytic processes.
  • Exhibit strong web management and technical skills in social media.
  • Strong written and visual communication skills.
  • Understanding digital engagement and audience development.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, time management, and an evident ability to handle multiple projects and competing priorities.

  • This is a 6-month contract position, 3 days a week at 22.5 hours per week (there is a strong potential for the role to become permanent full-time).
  • Pay scale is $21.50 - $26.50 per hour
