Position Description

Role 

Teen Ranch is a year-round, non-denominational Christian sports camp located just outside of Orangeville, Ontario. During the summer, we run high-energy camp programs feeding 150–200 people three meals a day. Throughout the rest of the year, we host guest groups including church retreats, school programs, hockey teams, and business events.

We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Cook to join our kitchen team in a permanent, year-round position. This role is a key part of delivering excellent food service to our guests, campers, and staff.

Schedule and Hours

  • Full-time (35–40 hrs/week) during summer camp and peak seasons
  • Reduced hours during quieter months (November–March)
  • Most common shift during camp: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Requirements 

  • Fully aligned with the mission statement of Teen Ranch
  • Maintains and models a spiritually thriving relationship with God and a passion for Jesus
  • Energetic, teachable, and able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexible with scheduling, including weekends, and open to reduced hours during the off-season
  • A multi-tasker who performs well under pressure 
  • Experience supervising others is an asset
  • Experience in cooking and/or baking in a professional or camp kitchen setting is an asset

Responsibilities 

  • Work as part of a kitchen team to prepare and serve well-balanced, nutritious, and delicious meals to all our guests
  • Prep, bake, and assist with the preparation of meals for groups ranging from 20 to 200
  • Independently lead and execute some meals
  • Help with general kitchen responsibilities: dishwashing, cleaning, dining room duties
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety
