Children Believe – a faith-based, values-inspired international NGO with more than 60 years of transformational impact – is seeking exceptional Difference Makers to join its Board of Directors and help write the next chapter for vulnerable children worldwide.
This opportunity is ideal for proven leaders seeking meaningful impact who possess the strategic acumen needed to guide one of Canada's most respected international development organizations.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Children Believe is seeking dynamic volunteers for its governance board. As a Board Member, successful candidates will join a governance team operating at the intersection of values and strategic excellence. This is transformational leadership that demands one's best thinking and strongest commitment.
Strategic Role:
- Champion governance that honours fiduciary responsibility and meaningful impact
- Shape strategic direction that multiplies Children Believe’s global influence
- Ensure operational excellence that maximizes every donated dollar
- Provide oversight that maintains the organization’s reputation as trusted stewards
Commitment Required:
- Term: Four years of dedicated service
- Engagement: Four strategic board meetings annually plus committee participation
- Committees: Participation in one or more committee(s) – Finance, Audit & Risk; and/or Governance & HR
Qualifications & Competencies
Experience and/or expertise in any of the following areas would be an asset:
Governance:
- Visionary foresight and strategic planning
- Organizational development and transformation
Philanthropy & Partnership Excellence:
- Major gift cultivation and donor relationship management across global markets
- Corporate partnership development and strategic alliance creation
- Strategic fundraising for charitable organizations and NGOs
- Marketing innovation and revenue growth strategies
