Position Description

Burnaby Safe House (BSH) is a second-stage shelter for women leaving domestic violence. Accommodations are provided for up to six months.

We are inviting applications for the position of Home Coordinator. This is a part-time position (12 -15 hrs/week). The BSH Home Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a secure and peaceful home, supporting live-in caregivers, and screening of potential new house clients.

The successful candidate will affirm our statement of faith, exhibit a strong dedication to the sanctity of life, demonstrate qualities of a compassionate servant, and have experience in helping people in crisis or abuse situations. This position will occasionally require the use of one’s personal vehicle.

Burnaby Safe House is an outreach of the Christian Advocacy Society (CAS). CAS is a faith-based charity offering compassionate support, resources, and education for women experiencing unexpected pregnancy, post abortion stress, domestic abuse, and sexual assault. All of our peer counselling services are provided free of charge.
