Chinese Gospel Church Scarborough (CGCS) is seeking a full-time Associate Pastor to join the ministry team in our English-speaking congregation. CGCS is one of two sites of the Chinese Gospel Church of Toronto.  Together, we are a member church of the Associated Gospel Churches (AGC). We are a growing community of approximately 230 adult worshippers with an additional 70-80 children drawn from both the English and Mandarin congregations.

Our vision is to be a missional community seizing every opportunity to share the gospel.  We seek to reach and disciple neighbors both locally and globally by faithfully sharing and living out the word of God.  Members of our church come from various neighborhoods in the Greater Toronto Area.  We are led by our pastoral staff and a  strong group of dedicated lay-leaders.  God has entrusted us with growing family, children and youth ministries and our young adult fellowships continue to care for those who are in university or have recently graduated. 

To support these areas of growth, we are seeking a candidate with a strong commitment to expository preaching who has a heart for pastoral care, discipleship and a willingness to work collaboratively with our leadership team and other pastors and congregations within the church.   Preference will be given to a candidate with a degree from an accredited academic institution with a strong track record from other churches and ministries. 

A successful candidate must agree with and adhere to the AGC Statement of Faith and be willing to pursue credentialing with the AGC.  He will shepherd the flock through preaching, teaching, and providing spiritual oversight to our children and youth ministries, equipping and caring for those he will serve alongside.  This candidate should expect the support of the Pastoral Care Team and members of our church as he leads and serves in our community.
