Position Description

Context

Sanctus Church’s vision is to become a regional church of 10,000 meeting the emotional, physical and spiritual needs of people in Jesus name. The following staff position is critical in helping our church execute on the fulfillment of that vision.

Role

This part time, Family Ministries lead position is focused on implementing the Bowmanville expression of Kids (ages 0-10) and Jr. Youth (ages 10-14) with an emphasis on building teams and coaching volunteer leaders.

Reporting

  • Reports to: Family Ministries Pastor
  • Direct Reports: None

Qualifications

Previous experience serving in Kids or Youth ministry as well as leading volunteer teams

Responsibilities

  • Bowmanvolle Site
    • Work in partnership with the Family Ministries Team and Site Pastor to implement the vision and strategy for Kids and Jr. Youth
    • Recruit, manage, develop, and appreciate teams of volunteer leaders
    • Execute weekly Kids and Jr. Youth programming with excellence
    • Be a staff point person for families and volunteers
    • Equip and empower parents with select resources to further disciple their family
    • Provide continue prayer for families, volunteers, and ministry
    • Oversee special site specific Family Ministries events and initiatives
    • Room and equipment logistics pertaining to Kids & Jr. Youth programming
  • Other Duties
    • Working as part of a team, help develop and execute centrally driven Family Ministries events including Summer Camp and Jingle Jam
    • Participate in regularly scheduled meetings with Family Ministries Team, Family Ministries Pastor, Bowmanville Site Pastor and All Staff
