Position Description

Vancouver Chinese Baptist Church (VCBC) has been serving and ministering in Greater Vancouver for over 50 years. It is a church of 600 active members in three congregations (Cantonese, English, and Mandarin), with a mission to follow and witness Christ in all areas of life, and a vision to raise up generations of Christ followers and disciple-makers.

We are currently looking to hire an English Congregation Lead Pastor. This role would involve leading our 150-member, mostly Canadian-born, English-speaking congregation as we journey to become a multi-ethnic church.   We are looking for a candidate passionate about working in this context.

The Lead Pastor of the English Congregation will provide leadership by modeling in his or her personal life, the grace and love of God, proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, teaching the Biblical revelation, engaging in pastoral care ministries focused on adults 30 and above, and providing collaborative leadership and guidance with all age and language groups in all areas of church life.

Salary: $69,183-$87,828 per year
