Position Description

TorontoJobs.ca has partnered with an accounting firm in Mississauga on their search for an Accounting Administrative Assistant/Receptionist.

This role requires being in the office. Hours of work are 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. The office has minimal traffic and follows health protocols.

In this role, the successful candidate will be supporting the firm through administrative and accounting duties.

The firm's clients are mostly Christian churches. Experience in filing T3010 is an asset. The firm is looking for a competent individual to join their close-knit team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in Filing of T3010
  • Filing HST returns
  • Sending Accounts Receivable Statements
  • Billing clients
  • Search client account balances/details using the CRA portal
  • Submitting authorization request
  • Screen and redirect phone calls accordingly
  • Represent the firm as the first point of contact
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Light housekeeping (keeping files and desk tidy, keeping office organized, ordering supplies)

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Accounting experience/background
  • Experience with the following accounting software is a great asset: CaseWare, Profile, iFirm; Jazzit; QuickBooks
  • Tech savvy - most transactions are done digitally
  • Professionalism
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience working in an accounting firm, law firm, or consultancy firm.
  • An understanding of church communities and church finances.
