Position Description

St. Paul’s Bloor Street is looking for professional, outgoing, dependable, and enthusiastic Events Coordinator. With a passion for people and desire to work in a unique events venue, we need an Events Coordinator who truly understands customer service. We are a vibrant Anglican church located in the heart of downtown Toronto. As a member of our Operations team, the Events Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all events, internal and external, including AV needs and food requirements, billing external clients and ensuring events run smoothly.


The Events Coordinator performs the following tasks

  • Coordinates room bookings, set-up, refreshments and meals for all internal groups
  • First point of contact for external space use applicants and provides applications and clarity to regarding space rentals
  • Informs clients the type and costs of services to be provided and offers suggestions to ensure all events are successful
  • Prepares estimate of event invoice for external clients and then prepares Space Rental Agreement for external clients, ensuring the document is completed and signed properly to view prior to rental agreement
  • Consults with Property Manager to ensure adequate staff is available for duty
  • Consults with Executive Chef to confirm menu according to Catering Menu
  • Organizes the venue and ensures it is correctly set up with regard to catering, seating and AV requirements
  • Determine the requirements needed for meetings to comply with the COVID-19 prevention guidelines; oversee and support related activities to ensure compliance with protocols
  • Stay current on and regularly reinforce applicable federal, municipal and diocesan rules regarding COVID-19 prevention
  • Evaluate practices and procedures for external clients to adherence to the applicable COVID-19 safety requirements
  • Follows up with internal users and external clients after events to evaluate the services provided
  • Invoice and track payments for all external client bookings
  • Finds solutions to problems concerning services or programs provided, or the people affected
  • Ensures internal signage is updated and appropriate for all St. Paul’s events
  • Develop and implement marketing plan to attract new clients for rentals


  • Excellent interpersonal skills and comfortable dealing with the public
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive
  • Knowledge of general office procedures
  • Fluency with the English language – ability to speak, read and comprehend
  • Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as knowledge of EMS (Event Management Software) required with a proven ability to learn and use other software applications
  • Willing to submit to a Police background check and comply with the policies of St. Paul’s
  • Commitment and support of the mission, vision and values of St. Paul’s


  • Full-time position available immediately: 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime
  • Salary range: $43,500 - $47,500 plus benefits
