Gorrie, Ontario , N0G 1X0
Gorrie Bible Fellowship is seeking a full-time pastor to minister alongside our Elders Board.
We are an established, non-denominational, evangelical church located in rural Howick Township, southwestern Ontario. Although situated in a farming community, we average between 200 to 250 in our Sunday morning service. Our congregation is multi-generational with many young families.
Our roots were originally in the open-brethren tradition. However, our style of worship now follows the pattern used by most Canadian evangelical protestant churches. We have an Elder-led leadership structure, with the Pastor considered to be a teaching Elder and part of our Elders team. We are complementarian in our perspective of gender roles. We have maintained a strong emphasis on young people over the years.
Following fifteen years of fruitful ministry with us, our previous pastor responded to the leading of the Lord (in complete fellowship with us) to accept a vacant position in a church in a neighbouring community.
We are trusting the Lord for a man who is passionate about Jesus Christ and serving God, committed to the study and teaching of the Bible as His inerrant Word, to prayer, to making Jesus known in our local community and around the World, and to loving and ministering to His people.
We would prefer someone who has already served as a pastor for at least five years and has a desire to mentor others. Applicants must be a resident of Canada and have achieved at least a bachelor’s degree in Biblical studies, theology or some similar academic program.
Applicants are asked to provide:
- A resume;
- A letter explaining your reason for applying and including the history of your relationship to Christ and service to Him in ministry; and
- A statement of your beliefs.
