Position Description

Plan to Protect® provides the highest standard of abuse prevention and safeguarding for churches and organizations serving the vulnerable sector. Full-time position working from our Stouffville office.

Responsibilities

40% Training Department

  • Admin Support to Director of Training (including data entry, scheduling, booking events)
  • Assists with Certification Course Admin (including assignment coordination, documentation of grades and sending out certificates)
  • Backend support for webinars via ZOOM (occasional evenings and weekends required)
  • Registration and follow up for training events
  • Provides admin support to certification students
  • Assists with marketing of training events
  • Assists with updating of website as it relates to training
  • Sending reminder postcards and emails out that certification is expiring
  • Assists with event planning for on-site training events
  • Assembles training materials for on-site
  • Assists the Director of Training, ensuring training materials are professional, consistent and up-to-date
  • Maintains inventory for training supplies
  • Works with priorities identified by the Director of Training

40% Membership Department

  • Admin Support to Director of Membership (including data entry, membership renewals, correspondence, membership welcomes etc.)
  • Assists with updating of member section of the website
  • Assists the Director of Membership ensuring membership materials are professional, consistent and up-to-date
  • Maintains inventory for membership supplies
  • Works with priorities identified by the Director of Membership

20% General Office/Customer Service

  • Share in the responsibility of answering reception phones
  • Maintains tidy office space
  • Assists with info@plantoprotect.com correspondence
  • Takes resource orders and fills/ships the orders
  • Orders office supplies and stationary etc. as directed/approved by CEO/Department Head
  • Prepares and makes bank deposits as directed by CFO
  • Attends staff meetings and daily stand-ups
  • Complies with company policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Some college or university
  • Excellent communicator
  • Commitment to a high standard of abuse prevention, child and youth protection
  • The ability to prioritize their work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working or serving with churches and not-for-profits an asset
  • Fluent in English, other languages an asset
  • Able to work independently and as a team
  • Must have transportation
  • Strong written communication skills, with excellent typing and grammar
  • Strong computer skills. Must be highly proficient in Word Processing, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Organized, detail-oriented and professional
