Reports to: Director, Campus Operations
Direct Reports: None
Status: Full-time, Shift Work

The Campus Care Associate is responsible for performing custodial duties, minor maintenance, and other miscellaneous duties in order to ensure that the building is maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner. The incumbent will work closely with multiple ministries and the visitors of The Peoples Church, so strong interpersonal skills are an asset.

Major Responsibilities

  • Open, setup and secure the building for various ministry needs.
  • Keep the facility in a neat and tidy condition, light cleaning duties as required.
  • Wash and disinfect miscellaneous items as required.
  • Maintain the exterior of the property in a clean, neat, and safe condition. Empty all waste baskets and garbage cans; remove trash in accordance with established procedures.
  • Keep outside area near exit and entrance clear of snow and ice.
  • Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings, conferences, events, etc.
  • Lock and unlock assigned rooms, secure building, and turn off lights when not in use
  • Respond to emergencies as they arise such as First Aid, Building Evacuation, Crowd control
  • Ensure cleaning materials and supplies are stored in a safe and orderly manner
  • Take classes as required in cleaning methods and techniques, new products, First Aid, CPR and Health & Safety
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must have a deep growing personal faith in Jesus Christ and support the Statement of Faith of The Peoples Church
  • Skill in using cleaning products, equipment to include light maintenance.
  • Must be self-motivated and have an ability to work under little supervision
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions orally and in writing
  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
  • Exhibit initiative, responsibility, and flexibility
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management skills

Working Conditions

  • Full-time Position - 35 hours/week
  • Variable working hours including occasional weekends and holidays
  • Support and Understand the Shared Mandate and Statement of Faith
