Company: Canadian Centre for Christian Charities
Contact Person: Lauren Bergsma
1-43 Howard Ave

Position Description

This position is designed to give students in Canadian Christian universities exposure to the complexity of charitable administration and work experience as a professional communicator. We want you to see and understand the inner workings of Canadian charities and be able to communicate about complex subjects clearly, plainly, and with confidence.

The Canadian Centre for Christian Charities (CCCC) supports 3,300 charities across the country. Our Knowledge and Publications Department provides up-to-date information on 15 core areas of charitable administration such as governance, accounting, human resources, and legislative compliance. This role is designed for students with a demonstrated interest in and aptitude for policy writing, analysis, and technical communication. You will work with a multidisciplinary team of professionals including lawyers, accountants, human resources professionals, marketers, and information technology professionals. You will design and test documents, web pages, videos, and other media. You will learn how to communicate complex or technical information in plain language to a variety of ministries. At CCCC, you will work alongside our professionals to take the complexity out of ministry.

CCCC provides both internship and co-op positions as we have funds available. We work with Canadian Christian universities to provide students with technology and communications skills that help advance Christian causes and strengthen Christian communities.

You will report to and be supervised by the Head of Knowledge and Publications.

Most interns work remotely and therefore must have the technology and temperament to do so. However, you are not alone! Everyone is given the opportunity to work side-by-side with veteran CCCC professionals on policy and technical documents.

You will work with policies and procedures across all subject groupings but will be expected to dive deep into two or three subject areas that you find most interesting.

All candidates must submit a resume and writing sample to before October 8, 2021.

Successful candidates must complete an interview and reference checks.
