Position Description

Plan to Protect® provides the highest standard of safeguarding for organizations (mostly churches and charities) serving the vulnerable sector. We are a small social enterprise located in Stouffville, ON, but serving clients internationally.  Our services include consulting, policy and procedure writing, training and screening. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assists with communication:  calls, emails and correspondence
  • Assists with the President’s calendar and schedule – keeps her on schedule
  • Assists with the coordination of the logistics of travel and event planning
  • Works closely with suppliers i.e. Printers, Promotions
  • Assists with desktop publishing and design of brochures, advertisements, magazines, etc.
  • Communicates by email and phone with members, clients, partners and suppliers as directed, providing excellent customer service
  • Bank deposits
  • Provides occasional support to the finance department
  • Inventory control
  • Build lasting and sustaining relationships. Always be ready to go the extra mile to answer questions thoroughly and professionally
  • Assists with marketing, advertising and coordination of exhibits
  • Assists with data entry, upkeep and maintenance of database (SalesForce)
  • Updating of website
  • Secures advertising for protect magazine
  • Works closely with staff and other departments
  • Supports event planning and execution
  • Attends staff meetings and/or regional meetings, minute taking*
  • Complies with company policies
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Submit timesheets and expense forms on a monthly basis per policy

Qualifications and Skills Needed

  • Must be creative, have excellent administrative skills (5+ years experience working as an Administrative Asst.)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy work environment
  • Excellent computer (Microsoft Office) skills
  • Desktop publishing and design work

This role requires the candidate to work from our Stouffville office. 

Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
