Position Description

The Central Canadian District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance is seeking a called and qualified candidate to join the District Ministry Centre team in the position of Administrative Assistant: Executive Support. The District Ministry Team is organized towards three key performance areas: Leader Development, Church Development and Mission Development. Each key performance area works interdependently to support the vision of Healthy Leaders, Healthy Churches, Healthy Mission.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

  • Executive support to the District Superintendent and Director of Church Development including calendar management and travel arrangements
  • Administrative support to the Director of HR & Administration and the Director of Finance including administering projects and coordinating office needs
  • Responsible for maintaining office databases and filing systems
  • Managing the Google Workspace account for the office
  • Reception duties: greeting visitors, overseeing the phone system and general voicemail box
  • Provide back-up for Accounting Administrator for accounts receivable and payables, and benefits administration.
  • Assisting with mailouts, including the creation of courier packages and waybills.
  • Filing of documentation in worker files, church files, and finance files
  • Overseeing the office IT needs and coordinating with the IT support consultants to ensure those needs are met
  • Run errands as requested
  • Assist with district event planning and onsite execution for District Retreat, District Conference, and Regional Meetings
  • Tracking of New Venture employment contract end dates and reporting upcoming end dates to the HR, Finance, and New Ventures Directors


  • Diploma in Office Administration or Business Administration
  • Experience in an administrative support role essential
  • Experience with accounts receivable and payable a definate asset
  • High level of comfort and proficiency with computers including: Google Workspace, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and  ZOOM, required as well as experience utilizing databases. 
  • Experience with Eventbrite, Typeform, and Church Centre Online would be an asset.
  • Able to prioritize and organize workload in face of multiple project demands
  • Critical thinking skills required
  • Warm, friendly and helpful demeanor while also being assertive 
  • Must be able to work well within a multicultural environment and with people who may hold varying doctrinal stances from yourself in a way that demonstrates respect, equity and inclusivity.
  • Must have a servant posture
  • Great communication skills both verbal and written
  • G level drivers license required as local errands and travel within the district is required

Reports to: Director, Human Resources & Administration

Position Type: 37.5 hours / week (M-F)
