Position Description

Church Background:

Mississauga Christ Life Community Church (MCLCC) - a Chinese based church, was formed on July 2017 with English ministry (EM) in Mississauga Ontario Canada. MCLCC is evangelical bases, believe in Bible and Jesus Christ is our LORD and savior. EM has about 30 congregation vs 150 congregation in Chinese Ministry. The EM currently has one adult small group, a youth fellowship and youth Sunday school. We are looking for a passionate God's servant with strong Youth ministry skill to develop the English ministry.

Qualifications:

• Meets character requirements of a biblical elder (1 Tim. 3:1-7; Titus 1:6-9; 1 Peter 5:1-5)
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical and/or Pastoral studies from an accredited university or seminary
• Minimum 3 years of pastoral ministry experience with a deep passion for people & strong leadership skills
• Demonstrated spiritual gifts of pastoring, shepherding and evangelism as found in Ephesians 4:11-13
• Preferably able to communicate in mandarin
• Has strong relational and counselling skills
• Provide three external references
• Supply validated police check record
• Primary Responsibilities:
• Responsible for pulpit sermons, preaching and teaching
• Oversees all English ministries
• Organizes and lead in discipleship training among EM congregations
• Demonstrates proficient leadership in youth ministry
• Provides guidance on children ministry and lead VBS
• Advocates relationship building initiatives among English congregation and members of all ages
• Advocates English ministry as member of church elder board
• Initiates evangelistic outreach to our community and the recruiting and training of our people to be engaged in outreach and mission projects, both locally and abroad
• Acts as our official representative for our church at conferences, ministerial meetings, and community events
