Position Description
Glen Elm Church of Christ is seeking a full-time position to work alongside our leadership team. Glen Elm Church has existed for 110 years in Regina, Saskatchewan- 30 years in our current location. Though not exceptionally large (average Sunday attendance is 100), we are comprised of a blend of young families, young adults, empty nesters, and seniors. Glen Elm is committed to seeking Christ and sharing Christ while serving the community. We are seeking to grow in our connections with one another and desire to be a community that blesses each other as we do life together; we don’t want to merely “do church” but to “be church” as we engage in serving our larger community.
Position Summary
To provide leadership, care, and development to the various ministry teams of Glen Elm Church of Christ.
Main Responsibilities:
Pastor
- Teaching/preaching- 2 times a month
- Meeting regularly with the Leadership Team to facilitate worship, Bible studies, service projects and prayer opportunities
Leader
- Guiding the Leadership Team to provide overall direction and spiritual guidance while carrying out the mission and vision of the church
- Giving ongoing support to ministry team leaders and fostering a collaborative environment
- Mobilizing and equipping others in the congregation to provide support and care where it is needed
Administrator
- Assuming primary management of day-to-day operations including finances and facilities
- Working with our engagement minister to build relationships with community organizations and other churches to promote community-wide initiatives
Qualifications
- Committed Christian with a desire for life-long growth in their relationship with Jesus Christ
- Willingness to commit to the mission and core values of Glen Elm Church
- Experienced in developing, leading, and offering pastoral care
- Knowledge and experience in administrative and management duties
- Strong people and social skills with the strength to nurture believers of diverse backgrounds, ages, and spiritual gifts
- Ability to work collaboratively with an affinity to mentor and develop future leaders
