Job Summary:

The Supervised Parenting Time Facilitator supervises family visits and provides a safe, secure environment, physically and emotionally, for children who are either in the care of the Ministry for Children and Family Development or families involved in high-conflict custody disputes. The facilitator maintains a court-ready record of all supervised visits.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide transportation for children to attend visits with families and supervise interactions between parents and their children.
  • Facilitate smooth transitions for children between both parents.
  • Observe, monitor, and objectively document family interactions and intervene as necessary.
  • Ensure family members follow the terms and conditions of the visit guidelines.
  • Encourage positive parent-child relationships.
  • Assists with general care of infants/children and model safe interactions with infants/children when necessary.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience & Expertise: Demonstrated experience with Infants and children, working with families, and practical parenting skills.
  • Knowledge & Awareness: A genuine understanding of Child Development, substance use, effects of separation and divorce on children, Family Court System.
  • Skills: Proficient in typing, using computers, and oral and written communication.
  • Compassion & Empathy: A genuine desire to help others and a deep commitment to client-centered care.
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a supportive team environment.
  • Education: Hold a Bachelor of Arts in either Social Work, or Child and Youth Care, or Psychology; OR Diploma in a related social services field; OR equivalent in education, training, and experience.
