ABOUT US

ROLE OVERVIEW

  • The Worship and Youth Pastor will lead and oversee the worship experience, technical production and youth ministry.
  • Worship: This position involves providing creative leadership, managing worship teams, and ensuring seamless technical execution to enhance the overall worship experience.
  • Youth: Leading the junior high and senior high student ministries, the Youth Pastor oversees all related functional areas to fulfill the church’s mission. This includes assisting with service planning, speaking/preaching, mobilizing and developing leaders, planning of events and related retreats/camps and outreaches.
  • This position reports directly to the Lead Pastor. This position is a 30-hour/week position and will require the successful candidate to work in person.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

WORSHIP 

  • Lead and oversee the planning and execution of worship services and events, ensuring alignment with the church's vision and values
  • Curate worship experiences that engage and inspire congregants across our different locations
  • Lead rehearsals, providing musical direction and guidance to ensure excellence in worship.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Pastor and worship leaders to select and arrange music that resonates with the congregation and enhances the worship atmosphere.
  • Lead worship as needed/required (conferences, events, funerals, etc)

PRODUCTION

  • Manage and coordinate all technical aspects of worship services, including sound, lighting, video, and livestream.
  • Oversee the technical teams responsible for audio-visual production, simulcast across locations
  • Ensure that all production elements are executed effectively and contribute to a seamless worship experience.

RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

  • Manage budgets, resources, and equipment related to worship and production needs.
  • Coordinate with vendors/suppliers for equipment maintenance, upgrades, and purchases.

TEAM MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT

  • Recruit, train, and develop volunteers involved in worship and technical production
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and pastoral care for team members, fostering a healthy and collaborative working environment
  • Conduct regular evaluations and provide feedback to enhance team performance and growth.

COLLABORATION AND COMMUNICATION

  • Work closely with pastoral staff, and leaders to align worship experiences with the overall church’s vision.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to integrate thematic elements and storytelling into worship services.
  •  Communicate effectively with technical teams and volunteers to ensure clear execution of production plans.

YOUTH

  • Reporting to the Lead Pastor, the Youth Pastor will be responsible for building a solid Junior and Senior High ministry with the vision of creating environments where our students can personally encounter Jesus during this critical stage of life.
  • The Youth Pastor will develop and implement a ministry strategy aligning with our church's vision.
  • The Youth Pastor will be responsible for recruiting, training, and providing ongoing oversight of the adult youth leaders and student leaders.
  • The Youth Pastor will work alongside the Pastoral Staff in serving as a general pastoral leader within our church community and be available to help with projects as assigned by the lead pastor.

REQUIRED SKILL SETS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • A servant leader with an active relationship with Jesus
  • Spiritual maturity, character, and lifestyle in accordance with ministry leadership
  • Full alignment with the mission, vision, and values of St.Paul’s
  • A calling to work within a church context, with a ministry mindset
  • An active participant in St.Paul’s church life
  • Strong musical proficiency and experience in leading worship.
  • Experience in technical production, including sound, lighting, and video.
  • Adaptability and flexibility
  • Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop teams
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across multiple teams.
  • Understanding of church dynamics and ability to align worship and youth experiences with the church's mission and values.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Previous ministry experience in related areas preferred
  • A Bible College degree is preferred
  • Willing to pursue credentials

  • Strong leadership skills, relating to vision and strategy
  • Ability to build and lead a volunteer team
  • Ability to Preach/Teach
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Able to work with minimal supervision

Depending on the candidates and circumstances, there may be an opportunity to split this position into two 15-hour roles: A Worship Pastor and Youth Pastor.
