Langford Community Church is a non-denominational, multigenerational church rooted firmly in the evangelical tradition.  We are a love God, serve others kind of church with a family feel. 

Role

We are prayerfully seeking a Children and Youth Coordinator who will have two areas of ministry focus:

1. Coordinate Sunday morning children’s ministry and nursery
2. Run a twice monthly youth gathering

This position is a one year, renewable contract.

Responsibilities

1. Coordinate Sunday morning children’s ministry and nursery
   1. Provide leadership to the whole children’s ministry program.
   2. Coordinate lessons on the RaiseUpfaith.com platform.
   3. Schedule teachers and confirm the weeks when they are teaching.
   4. Gather and supply materials for Sunday school teachers.
   5. Recruit new teachers. 
   6. Participate in the Sunday School teaching rotation.
2. Run a twice-a-month youth gathering
   1. Plan and run youth gatherings that will develop Christian character and commitment in our youth.
   2. Invest in our youth informally on a Sunday to Sunday basis.
   3. Recruit a team to support this ministry.
3. Fulfill administrative duties
   1. Coordinate Plan to Protect training events.
   2. Meet with the Pastor to coordinate ministry activities.

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is a committed and growing follower of Jesus.
• Has the spiritual maturity needed to give biblical direction to our ministry and volunteers.
• Has Bible school training and/or experience teaching children about God.
• Will be able to work independently, proactively and flexibly.
• Has experience and aptitude with online platforms (such as Google Docs and RaiseUpfaith.com) and social media. 
• Will participate in the ongoing life and ministry of Langford Community Church.

Hours

Ten hours a week, with salary appropriate to experience.
