Step into Ministry Leadership by Serving the Next Generation

Calvary Gospel Church is seeking a Christ-centred, motivated, and teachable individual to serve as our Children’s Ministries Intern. This internship is a hands-on opportunity to grow in leadership, ministry, and teaching while investing in children and families through summer programming, Sunday ministry, and gospel outreach.

This role is ideal for someone exploring a call to vocational ministry who is passionate about helping kids know and follow Jesus in creative and lasting ways.

What You’ll Do

You’ll gain children’s ministry experience through mentorship and meaningful leadership opportunities:

Oversee Children's Ministry Engagement
Take initiative in inviting new children and families to engage at Calvary, while helping kids transition into youth ministry during the summer.

Facilitate Post-Camp Outreach Programs
Plan and launch an 8–10 week program (e.g., STEM, soccer, etc.) following summer camp to reach children and build relationships.

Teach During Summer Camp
Prepare and teach 2–3 Bible-based lessons per week at our summer kids camp.

Teach on Sunday Mornings
Lead teaching regularly during Calvary Kids Sunday programming.

Support and Lead the Calvary Kids Volunteer Team
Encourage, support, and help coordinate our team of volunteers serving in children’s ministry.

Assist Summer Camp Staff
Provide support to our summer camp team as they carry out daily activities and camper care.

Engage in Planning and Administration
Participate in preparation, planning, and coordination that help ministry thrive.

Lead from the Platform on Sundays
Gain experience leading and speaking publicly as a visible member of our ministry team.

Internship Details

Start Date: July 2025
Hours: Full-time, flexible (based on ministry and program schedule)

This role includes consistent Sunday morning presence and summer weekday availability.
The internship may be extended beyond the summer based on fit, availability, and ministry needs.

Compensation: Paid (minimum wage, with possible increase based on experience and funding)
