Step into Ministry Leadership with Purpose and Passion

Calvary Gospel Church is looking for a servant-hearted, flexible, and motivated individual to join our team as a Pastoral Intern. This internship is a hands-on opportunity to grow in leadership and ministry experience in a supportive church environment while making a lasting impact on students, newcomers, and our local neighbours.

You’ll serve in a variety of ministry areas—learning, leading, and helping carry the gospel to the places we live, work, and play. This role is ideal for someone sensing a call to vocational ministry and looking to be mentored as they grow in spiritual maturity and pastoral skill.

What You’ll Do

You’ll gain pastoral ministry experience through intentional mentorship and active involvement in several core ministry areas:

Lead in Youth Ministry
Take a leadership role within our Jr. High and High School ministries—planning engaging weekly gatherings and investing in students’ spiritual growth.

Partner with Convos Youth Zone
Collaborate with Convos (a local youth non-profit) to serve teens in our town and help them connect with a church family.

Support Our Welcome & Integration Ministries
Help oversee our Welcome Team and foster a culture of hospitality as we integrate guests and newcomers into the life of Calvary.

Champion Gospel-Centred Outreach
Assist in the planning and execution of outreach events and initiatives that bring the gospel into our everyday spaces.

Grow in Worship & A/V Ministry
Serve in our worship ministry with a focus on media and audio/visual learning—developing behind-the-scenes skills for effective Sunday ministry.

Engage in Planning & Administration
Support the organization and preparation that fuels vibrant ministry—participating in meetings, planning sessions, and service coordination.

Lead from the Platform on Sundays
Gain experience leading and speaking publicly during services as a visible member of our ministry team.

Internship Details

Start Date: July 2025
Hours: Full-time, flexible (based on ministry schedule & availability)

We're looking for someone who understands that ministry happens when people gather—this role includes consistent Sunday morning presence and some weeknight availability.

This internship may be extended beyond the summer based on fit, availability, and ministry needs.

Compensation: Paid (minimum wage, with potential increase based on experience and funding)
