We value a leader who is shaped by the transforming work of the gospel - past and present - and who is committed to walking with others in that same journey. Preaching, leadership development, and strategic direction are important, but so is a heart for discipleship, a posture of collaboration, and a deep love for the church. We are looking not for perfection, but for a faithful guide - someone eager to raise up leaders, cultivate community, and help us live out our mission together.

  • Council and staff to discern and pursue God’s will in our mission and vision.
  • Cultivate a healthy, prayerful culture among staff and volunteers, committed to
  • encouragement, growth, and shared accountability.
  • Be a discipling leader who loves people and is committed to developing staff,
  • leaders, and disciples - equipping them to raise up others in turn.

Pastoral Care

  • Shepherd the congregation by providing counsel in spiritual matters, visitation,
  • and prayer.
  • Officiate weddings, funerals, baptisms, and other pastoral functions.
  • Equip and empower others to provide care and discipleship throughout the
  • church.

Church Administration & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with church leadership and teams on budgeting, planning, and
  • operational decisions.
  • Represent the church in the broader community and denominational
  • relationships.
  • Ensure alignment of ministries with the church’s mission and values.

Qualifications

  • A deep and personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a life that reflects
  • spiritual maturity.
  • A clear calling to pastoral ministry.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Doctrinal alignment with the ECC’s statement of faith and core beliefs.
  • A formal theological background and/or previous pastoral experience is an asset.
